Important Fit Lab Notes
These recommendations are intended to act as a baseline starting point to narrow down footwear options. They are not a guarantee that a specific model or size will be the most appropriate choice.
Anatomy Matters
Customers should always be considerate of individual bony anatomy, including the 1st metatarsal head, 5th metatarsal head, navicular area, dorsal midfoot, bunions, tailor’s bunions, and heel shape.
Foot Flexibility & Load Response
A flexible foot, rigid foot, collapsing midfoot, or forefoot that splays under load may change which shoe is appropriate, even when length and width appear correct.
Toe Spring
Toe spring, toe box shape, and forefoot rocker geometry can change how a shoe feels and functions. Two shoes with similar measurements may feel very different.
Cleat Placement
The shoe must allow the cleat to reach the necessary position based on the rider’s anatomy, metatarsal location, stance width needs, pedal system, and orthotic interaction.
The goal of this tool is to vector down footwear options worth trying on, not to prescribe one guaranteed model or size.
